THANK YOU so much Transvulcania and La Palma for welcoming me ‘home’ to your wonderful island.

I have been touched (and healed) by the Islands energy and the waters magical properties, as well as the peoples love, support, enthusiasm and drive to make my stay absolutely wonderful.

There are so many people to THANK, from the organisers, volunteers and supporters of TransVulcania, La Palma tourism for their support of the race and having us all to stay, to SkyRunning for your enthusiasm for racing in superb places.

To my physical support I have had here to get me back in shape,

A CICAR to drive me around the tiny breathtaking roads,

the stunning apartment that gave us so many relaxed days together with friends and beautiful sunset evenings.

And to everyone on this island who makes it what it is. A place I can call home. See you next year, until then, keep smiling.

GR131 – A Week Late

Well, it might be a couple of weeks late, but better than never. I am running on the GR131 of La Palma. Gosh have I missed this place. So peaceful, full of colour, forever changing weather and 360degree views. Gaining more positive energy from this island for my last few days here before I set off on another adventure.

I have been trying to write something for a while, but have been struggling to put words down. I have been feeling creative with my jewellery making, reading books, enjoying the sun while swimming and biking. And now beginning to walk and run again after 6-weeks of a frustrating injury. And of that last 6-weeks, I feel that ‘Instagram’ has been able to capture my emotion, space, time and feelings right then and there better than what I can write. So here is ‘Those Moments’

La Palma – A Home Coming

I landed on the tiny Island with with a huge smile on my face. My heart was happy, my lungs took a big breath of freedom. I felt at home. The sun was setting over the ocean as I settled into my home for a few weeks in Tazacorte. The flowers bloomed with such bliss and colour that is almost wrong against the jet black of the harsh volcanic rock. Time to go and explore new places of this beautiful place.
